Stonewall, a British charity set up to empower and support LGBT people, wanted to broaden their scope – to help vulnerable people, from all walks of life, who find themselves the victims of bullying.
From an early age, we hear bullying happening all around us. When we ignore it, we become part of the problem. But if we let bullies know it’s unacceptable, we stand a chance of stopping it in its tracks.
Our #nobystanders campaign encouraged people to make a public promise to stand up to bullying, by signing our No Bystanders Pledge. Film, press, social and PR content followed – all signed off with the memorable call to action “If you hear it. Stop it.”
The #nobystanders pledge was signed and shared by over 18,000 supporters. Our film, following name-calling from the playground into adulthood, has been viewed more than 250,000 times.
