THE CHALLENGE

PDSA, the UK’s largest veterinary charity, was struggling to raise the £60 million they need each year to survive. In a crowded animal charity market, they needed a stronger brand identity and more emotive comms.

 

 
 
 
 

THE INSIGHT

A bond between a pet and their owner is a precious one. PDSA vets have the power to protect this bond – meaning that a donation to PDSA not only helps animals in need, but people too.

 
 
 
 

THE EXECUTION

We created a new brand positioning: ’The NHS For Pets’ and a distinctive new identity – featuring a ‘hand and paw’ logo and a vibrant set of colours unique to the charity. This was used across all of PDSA’s touch-points, from broadcast media, to posters, press, charity shops and Pet Hospitals.

THE RESULT

Brand awareness increased by 68%, and year-on-year donations by 41% - breaking all KPIs.
